COVELUX™ is a coveless architectural lighting system combining a purpose-designed profile with COB LED lighting. Instead of relying only on downlights or visible fittings, it creates a continuous line of indirect light that becomes part of your ceiling or wall design.

It is a lighting profile system, not a conventional false ceiling. Depending on the profile and your site condition, it can be integrated at ceiling edges, wall edges or corners without building a large plasterboard cove box.

It means achieving the cove-light effect without the bulky cove-light box. The LED sits inside an architectural profile, so the finished detail is slimmer and more defined.

Traditional cove lighting needs a recessed ledge or false-ceiling box to hide the LED strip. COVELUX uses a dedicated profile to form and position the light, so you get a cleaner architectural line with less ceiling construction.

Downlights and track lights produce light from individual points, while COVELUX produces a continuous linear glow. They serve different purposes, and most homes use both — COVELUX for ambience and architecture, downlights or track lights for general and task lighting.

No. COVELUX is designed primarily for indirect and ambient lighting. Plan it together with your main lighting, downlights, pendants or task lighting wherever stronger illumination is needed.

LED lifespan is around 50,000 hours under normal usage. For better maintenance, we don't recommend leaving it on 24 hours / 7 days continuously. Best to switch it off when not in use so the LED and driver can last longer.

For our Coveless LED light, this is a ceiling lighting product used for fixed installation.

Based on CCS Consumer Product Safety Office's reply, ceiling lights including smart LED lighting products are not classified as Controlled Goods under Singapore's Consumer Protection Safety Requirements.

Therefore, Coveless LED light is not required to have SAFETY Mark certification.

Types A, G and H are single-profile designs, Types B, C, D and I are double-profile designs.

A single profile creates one line of light; a double profile creates a layered, twin-line architectural detail. Choose based on the ceiling look you want, not on price alone — the light direction and finished appearance differ.

Send us your floor plan, ceiling photos and the lighting effect you want. We will recommend the profile based on your ceiling height, aircon trunking, carpentry, curtain areas and wiring route.

COVELUX uses COB LED, which is chosen specifically to produce a more continuous line of light with reduced dotting. The final appearance still depends on the LED selected, the profile, viewing angle and installation.

Standard wall paint should not be applied directly onto aluminium profiles — adhesion is poor and it can peel or finish unevenly. The Type E plasterable profile is the model designed to be plastered and finished together with the surrounding surface. For other profiles, a metal-compatible coating would need to be assessed separately.

The standard profile length is generally 2.7 metres per piece, with 3-metre profiles available on selected models subject to stock. Longer runs are formed by joining multiple lengths.

Yes — a joint may remain visible where two lengths meet. Our installers align and seal joints as neatly as possible, but COVELUX should not be understood as joint-free over unlimited lengths. "Coveless" describes the design; it does not mean the profile is manufactured in endless lengths.

Yes. COVELUX is suitable for HDB, condominium and landed homes, and several profile sizes and configurations are available. The right choice should be based on your actual ceiling height, furniture proportions and ceiling fan position rather than on a catalogue photo.

It should be reasonably flat and straight. COVELUX is designed for a clean frameless look, so any waviness in the existing surface can show up as visible gaps along a long straight profile. Skim coating or levelling may therefore be recommended before installation.

Gaps can appear between the profile and the surface. Depending on the condition, we either level the substrate beforehand or finish suitable gaps with white silicone. Rectification work is quoted according to the actual condition. COVELUX should not be treated as a way to hide major ceiling irregularities.

This must be assessed case by case. Concealing existing casing can raise HDB compliance issues depending on the method, and existing trunking, pipes or beams may prevent concealed wiring in certain profiles. We review this on site before confirming the design.

Early — before electrical first-fix and before final painting. The light position affects wiring, ceiling detail, carpentry and switching, so planning late usually means opening up completed work.

Where COVELUX runs beside an aircon unit, trunking or built-in cabinets, those final positions should normally be established first. This avoids cutting, shifting or realigning the lighting afterwards.

Yes. Trunking, pipes, beams and other obstructions can rule out certain profile configurations or concealed wiring routes. We may recommend a different model or lighting route after reviewing the site.

Yes. The wiring required between the switch, driver, controller and LED strip depends on the lighting configuration you choose — The wiring requirements differ for fixed white, tricolour and RGB systems. Ask your electrician to confirm the requirement with us before first-fix rather than assuming a standard arrangement.

The driver is installed in a location with adequate space and future servicing access, agreed with you before installation. Driver placement matters as much as the finished look — components should never be permanently sealed where they cannot be reached later.

Only where stated in your quotation. Additional light points, concealed wiring, skim coating and repainting are typically separate items. Local making-good may be included; full repainting is not assumed.

Usually possible, but it is easier and neater during renovation. A retrofit may involve additional wiring, drilling, surface repair and repainting depending on the existing condition.

COVELUX can be configured with warm, neutral or cool white, as well as adjustable tricolour and RGB options. The exact Kelvin rating supplied is stated in your quotation, as it depends on the LED package selected.

Dimming is available only with a smart controller. Please tell us before ordering so that the correct system is specified — it usually cannot be added later without changing components.

Yes. Optional smart controllers allow app control through compatible platforms such as Tuya Smart / Smart Life, and remote-control options are available for selected tricolour and RGB configurations. Smart-home compatibility depends on the specific controller, so please confirm your platform before ordering.

Yes, multi-zone control is available for suitable installations. Please inform us early, as the smart controller placement, wiring and switching for each zone must be planned before installation.

We do not recommend relying on it as the sole main light for a living room. It is an indirect, architectural lighting system — main and task lighting should be planned separately according to room size and how you use the space.

Yes, and a BTO is the easiest case — planning it before electrical and painting works makes coordination much simpler.

Yes, subject to the existing ceiling, wall, wiring and service conditions. Older units may need more rectification or electrical preparation. For condominiums, please also check renovation rules, lift access, working hours and any MCST requirements.

Living rooms, dining areas, bedrooms, hallways, entrance areas, TV consoles and feature walls. The layout should follow the purpose of each space.

Dry areas may be possible, but wet, humid or grease-prone locations need separate consideration. A standard indoor configuration should not be assumed suitable for direct wet-area exposure — the required IP rating and electrical specification must be confirmed first.

Only if the LED, driver, controller and installation system are specifically suited to that exposure. Our standard indoor system is not an outdoor or waterproof lighting product.

Routine maintenance is limited compared with hanging decorative fittings. Keep exposed surfaces clean, and leave the driver, controller and connections to a competent electrician.

Like all LED systems, the strip and driver produce some operating heat. The correct profile, driver and installation conditions manage this — no LED system is completely heat-free.

COVELUX is an architectural lighting system, not a fully sealed enclosure. Good installation and normal housekeeping keep dust to a minimum, but we do not claim that dust or insects can never enter any part of an installation.

The applicable 5-years product warranty period is stated in your confirmed quotation and order documentation. The warranty should be read together with its exclusions, which typically cover DIY installation, misuse, damage caused by third parties, and issues arising from existing surface conditions or third-party electrical work.
