The SunAura Skylight is PanelCraft's signature artificial skylight range, engineered to bring natural daylight into any interior space. Using full-spectrum LED technology and an advanced optical diffuser, it recreates the look of a real roof window — complete with a vivid blue sky effect and dynamic light that transitions naturally from sunrise to sunset throughout the day.

A real skylight requires cutting through the roof structure to let in sunlight — this is not permitted for HDB flats. An artificial skylight uses LED and optical diffuser technology to recreate natural daylight safely within your existing false ceiling, with no structural works required.

Yes. The SunAura Skylight is classified as a ceiling-mounted lighting fixture and is fully HDB-compliant. No structural alteration or HDB approval is required.

We offer two models under the SunAura range:

1. SunAura Realistic Skylight
A deep-housing unit that projects light at an angle, mimicking the directional quality of real sunlight entering through a roof opening. Best for clients who want the most immersive, realistic sunlight effect. Requires more ceiling depth.

2. SunAura UltraThin Skylight
A slim-profile flat panel that delivers even, diffused sky-blue light across the room. Ideal for homes with lower ceiling clearance or a preference for a clean, flush aesthetic.

Yes. Both SunAura models support stepless adjustment of brightness (5%–100%) and colour temperature (3000K–6000K):

• 6000K — Morning sky blue
• 4000K — Afternoon natural white
• 3000K — Warm evening glow

Both models also feature a built-in 24-hour circadian light cycle that automatically adjusts colour temperature and brightness throughout the day — transitioning from a warm sunrise tone in the morning, through bright natural daylight at midday, to a warm golden glow by evening. A slow fade on/off function and memory-on-power-up feature are also included.

Both the SunAura Realistic and UltraThin models support the following control methods:

• Tuya Smart App (iOS & Android) — full control of brightness, colour temperature, scheduling and daylight cycle
• Google Home & Amazon Alexa — link your Tuya account inside the Google Home or Alexa app and voice control works directly: "Hey Google, turn on the skylight" or "Alexa, set the skylight to 50%"
• Wall switch — on/off via standard switch

No separate smart hub or gateway is required — the skylight connects through the Tuya Smart app on your phone.

Yes. Our skylights come standard with Tuya App mobile control and remote control.

For customers who want to connect the skylight to a Zigbee smart home system, a Tuya Zigbee Gateway is required.

If you are using a specific smart home system such as Aqara, Home Assistant, or another Zigbee hub, please check with us before ordering so we can confirm compatibility.

You can still switch the skylight on and off using your wall switch. App and voice control resume automatically once your Wi-Fi is back online.

1. A false ceiling is required.
The SunAura Skylight is installed flush into a false ceiling framework. A ceiling void is required to conceal wiring, mount the unit securely, and achieve the realistic skylight effect.

2. Minimum ceiling clearance (by model):

SunAura UltraThin Skylight

• 300 × 600mm, 300 × 1200mm, 600 × 1200mm → minimum 90mm clearance
• 600 × 600mm → minimum 130mm clearance

SunAura Realistic Skylight

• 300mm width → minimum 120mm clearance
• 600mm width → minimum 230mm clearance

3. Compatible ceiling types:

SunAura UltraThin Skylight

• Integrated aluminium ceiling panels (direct fit)
• Silicon calcium board, mineral wool board (direct fit)
• Plasterboard / gypsum, PVC panels, honeycomb boards (requires cut-out opening)

SunAura Realistic Skylight

• Integrated ceiling (aluminium panels, honeycomb board)
• Recessed/embedded into honeycomb board, timber ceiling, or plasterboard

If you are unsure of your ceiling clearance or ceiling type, share your ceiling height, room details, and site photos with us and we will advise before you commit.

The SunAura Realistic Skylight projects light at an angle — you choose which wall the beam faces during installation. We recommend directing it towards a solid wall rather than a mirror or doorway, to avoid direct glare. For the best visual effect, position the unit no more than 1.7m from the wall it illuminates.

Yes. Both SunAura models use full-spectrum LED with a colour rendering index of Ra ≥ 95 — significantly higher than standard LED panels — meaning colours appear accurate and true-to-life. Both are IEEE-certified with no visible flicker, no glare hazard, and no blue light hazard, exceeding classroom-grade lighting standards.

Yes. With an IP44 waterproof rating, the SunAura Skylight resists water splashes and is suitable for indoor wet areas such as bathrooms and kitchens. It is not rated for direct shower exposure.

Before scheduling installation, our team will request the following:

• Wall length and ceiling height of the installation area
• Available ceiling clearance depth
• Ceiling material type (e.g., plasterboard, aluminium integrated panel, timber)
• Site photos for assessment

Wiring: A 2-core wire is required for the SunAura Skylight. Please ensure your electrician has this ready at the skylight position before the installation date. Our team will confirm the exact wiring point location during the pre-installation assessment.

This allows us to verify sizing, ceiling suitability, and wiring requirements in advance. If the required details are not ready, installation may need to be rescheduled.

Approximately 1–2 hours per unit, including wiring. For new renovations, installation is typically coordinated alongside ceiling and lighting works.

Yes. The SunAura Skylight uses energy-efficient full-spectrum LED and can reduce the need to run multiple lights during the day. The circadian dimming function also ensures the light is never brighter than necessary, further lowering electricity consumption.

No. A deeper ceiling void is never a problem. The SunAura Skylight sits flush with your ceiling surface, and any extra space above the unit is simply unused void. Only a ceiling that is too shallow is an issue, as the unit requires a minimum clearance depth to fit. If your ceiling void is deeper than the minimum requirement, the skylight will still install and perform exactly as intended.

Yes, supply only is fine. You may install the SunAura Skylight using your own electrician or contractor. Please note that for supply only purchases, our warranty covers the product only. Installation workmanship, wiring, and any site related issues are the responsibility of your own contractor, and are not covered under our warranty.

Yes. For deep embedded installation, the exact support method depends on your ceiling structure and site conditions. In some cases, additional timber or metal framing may be required to securely support the skylight. This is subject to your contractor's assessment. We recommend confirming the support method with your ceiling contractor before installation so the opening and framing can be prepared correctly.

Our ceiling lights, including smart LED lighting products such as the artificial skylight, are not classified as Controlled Goods under the Consumer Protection (Safety Requirements) Regulations (CPSR). Therefore, the product is not subject to the SAFETY Mark certification requirement. The SunAura Skylight is designed and manufactured to meet relevant safety and performance standards, and carries a 5 year product warranty.

Our service is based on supply and installation by our own team. If you are purchasing the product on a supply only basis, we are unable to provide installation guidance, technical installation support, or training for your contractor. As such, we are unable to advise your contractor on the installation method or provide detailed installation photos. If you engage us for the installation, our team will handle the installation according to our standard procedures and technical requirements.

Up to 30,000 hours lifespan (approximately 10–12 years under normal usage). Completely maintenance-free — no bulb replacements required. Light dusting of the panel surface is sufficient.

SunAura Skylight and Sora Skylights are separate companies and brands. PanelCraft offers the SunAura Skylight, providing a combination of realistic directional sunlight effects, adjustable colour temperature and brightness, smart app control, showroom viewing, installation support and a 5-year product warranty, with different configurations available for different ceiling conditions and budgets.

Our SunAura Skylight Models carry a 5-year product warranty, backed by PanelCraft — above the standard 1-year warranty common in the Singapore LED lighting market.

What is covered:

• Manufacturing defects in parts and materials
• LED panel or driver failure under normal usage conditions

How to make a warranty claim:

• WhatsApp us a photo or video of the issue together with your proof of purchase (invoice)
• We will assess remotely where possible
• If an on-site inspection is required, a transport and labour fee of $80 applies
• If the product is confirmed defective, we will arrange repair or replacement of the affected part

Warranty is void if:

• The unit has been tampered with, modified, or repaired by an unauthorised party
• Damage is caused by improper installation not carried out by PanelCraft
• Damage is caused by physical misuse or negligence
• Proof of purchase (invoice) cannot be provided

Important — Supply Only Purchases:
For supply-only purchases where installation is carried out by your own contractor or a third party, the warranty covers product defects only. PanelCraft is not liable for any installation workmanship, damage, or issues arising from installation not performed by our team.
